Update Google Chrome

Security AlertGoogle released a zero-day patch to fix a single vulnerability. The update is for Mac, Windows, and Linux users and is rated as high severity because it’s already being exploited by attackers. Google releasing a patch on a single vulnerability is unique and speaks to the severity of the update.

How to Update

Chrome updates automatically, but only when the browser is shut down. If you have had Chrome open for a couple days, now would be a good time to shut down the browser for a reset. To check if Chrome is up to date click the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner of the browser> Help> About Google Chrome. Chrome will check for updates, and display if it is up to date. It may say you need to restart to browser to apply an update. Do so and then check to make sure it reads, “Up to date.”
